Finding The Right Pad

It’s good to feel protected against life’s unexpected leaks.  Sometimes it’s a light spritz from a sneeze or the nearest bathroom isn’t near enough.  Whatever the situation, there is the right protection for any situation.  Gone are the days of your grandmother’s diapers: now absorbent products come in all shapes and sizes from thin pantiliners to ultra thin, moderate, maximum and ultimate absorbency pads.

Did you know that 1 in 3 women experience Light Bladder Leakage (LBL)? Of the 1 in 3 women who experience Light Bladder Leakage (LBL), many are still using period-only pantiliners and pads instead of pantiliners and pads specially designed for LBL. So what’s the difference?

Not only are period only products not designed to absorb urine leakage, they are also not designed to absorb and prevent urine odor which is often a concern for women experiencing LBL.  Furthermore, specialty pantiliners and pads have a superabsorbent material that holds and locks away urine from the skin.  This is important since urine and wetness can be a major irritant where you least want it.

Typically, bladder leakage pads and pantiliners do cost more but because they are built to absorb, you’ll be changing less frequently than you would with a feminine hygiene pad.

Use them.  Your skin will thank you for it.
