Dr. Dugan is the co-director of the Rush University Medical Center Program for Abdominal and Pelvic Health in Chicago, Illinois. She is currently Chair of the American College of Sports Medicine Strategic Health Initiative on Women, Sport and Physical Activity and takes over as President of the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation (PASSOR), the musculoskeletal section of the American Academy of PM&R, in September 2007. She also served as Principal Investigator for a Retirement Research Foundation and Pfizer Investigator-Initiated multi-site research study investigating the efficacy of a chair-based pelvic fitness program for women over the age of 65. The study resulted in WHF’s newly minted Total Control™ Platinum program.

Her special interests include surgical anatomy and minimally invasive (robotic, laparoscopic and vaginal) surgical treatment of women with pelvic floor dysfunction.
